This workshop is designed to empower you, as a people leader, to play an active role in fostering a culture that upholds your organisation’s Values to ensure a workplace free from bullying and harassment.
The focus of the workshop is on practical exercises, skill-building, and confidence development while leveraging your expertise as a people leader.
Through open dialogue and action plan development, you will feel more accountable for promoting a respectful workplace and will demonstrate a commitment to the prevention and resolution of bullying and harassment.
Ultimately, the workshop will contribute to a safer and more respectful workplace environment, aligning with your organisation’s Values.
Learning Outcomes
Your participation in this workshop will enable you to:
- define ‘bullying’ and ‘harassment’, recognise the differences and examine the types of issues that have arisen and might arise in the future
- be very clear about what constitutes above and below the line behaviour in your organisation
- recognise your responsibility in terms of your organisation’s Values, relevant policies and health and safety obligations
- critically assess situations, identify root causes, and determine appropriate interventions
- appropriately handle bullying and harassment incidents by engaging in difficult conversations in order to resolve conflict
- support your team members to recognise bullying and harassment when they see it, to use strategies to respond to inappropriate behaviour, and to have the courage to speak up
- develop leadership skills that will help to foster a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
