Selena Bernath

Selena is passionate about building capability and obtaining better business outcomes. She has over 15 years’ experience in leadership, team development, industry training, operational management and education quality assurance management. As a result, she brings considerable expertise to her role as a consultant, facilitator and coach.

Selena has held a range of senior management roles in public and private sectors and has managed ‘start up’ capability development teams. She has managed a change leadership strategic initiative prior to major transformational change, managed teams through change, and facilitated team development sessions to manage change, identify team purpose, norms and values and improve collaboration and communication.

She has mentored and coached HR teams, middle and senior managers over the last five years to develop leadership skill sets in facilitation and maximising team performance (especially through change) and ultimately, improve business outcomes.

Some of the clients who have benefited from Selena’s expertise include Foodstuffs (Wellington) Ltd, Ministry of Justice, The Treasury, Housing NZ, Statistics NZ, NZQA and Skills IQ.

She has previously owned a consultancy company, which focused on national qualification review and development, provider accreditation, competency-based assessment and education quality assurance/moderation.
